Employment
University of Winnipeg (August 2007 - March 2008)
In August 2007 I was asked if I wanted to tutor some of my fellow classmates on the material being covered in class. I took up the offer and provided a helping hand through many tough topics such as Online Databases, PHP, CGI/Perl, Java, and ASP.NET.
This experience has helped me to learn new things along the way. Doing something yourself doesn't always give you the most knowledge as seeing other peoples mistakes and solutions helps you the next time you come across something similar.
Red Tiger Group (June 2006 - January 2008)
Right out of school I began working at Red Tiger Group as somewhat of a part-time job. It turned out that this was a pretty busy time for them and ended up putting in full days. This continued on until I began my Internet Specialist course in April 2007. I then switched to part-time and still do some odds-and-ends on their websites.
I was involved with many different aspects of the internet here. Some things I did were manage/create databases, PHP server-side coding to interact with the databases, tweaking of old existing CGI/Perl scripts, developing applications, as well as many other things.
Here I also learnt to work well in a team of web developers, graphic designers, as well as marketers. All three parts of the business combined to build a customer-approved website.
Freelance (September 2005 - present)
I have done some work for local businesses on my own. These sites have included graphics, and web page creation. Most of these sites were not too large, but were a good way to get started dealing with a few clients.
Trump Farms (September 2004 - present)
Driving the combine, tractor and grain trucks were some of the things I did on the family farm.
